18. October – Bohemia newspaper published in the Telegraph von Prague column an item about an exhibition of daguerreotypes in the Prague bookshop Borrosch und André. This was the first time daguerreotypes were shown to the public in the Czech lands. The pictures seem to be from Carl Gropius from Berlin.
