29. April – Květy magazine wrote about Salomon Sturm (1816-?), son of a well-known optician, who makes daguerreotype portraits to order. Even though there are no further news about the Sturm’s attempts, he was apparently the first one to make daguerreotype portraits to order in the Czech lands.
