The first picture of an event

12. June.  Václav (Wenzel) Treitz, a medical student, later the famous anatom and patologist (1819-1872), daguerreotyped the famous St. Wenceslas mass at the Horse market. At present the picture is known only as a lithograph, where is a note about it being made from a daguerreotype. The first picture of an event directly in Bohemia.
