Vojtěch Šafařík published an extensive work About photography and dry plates in the first five copies of Chemical Papers. The work, later published as a special reprint of Chemical Papers, can be described as the first Czech scientific treatise about photography, where there are explained physically-chemical basis of the photography processes used.
