Alexandr Seik, a photographer in Tábor, became a mayor of the town. Important offices in town administration, held by photographers (W. and V. Mazura in Žamberk, J. Russ in Hradec Králové, J. Eckert in Prague), were an evidence of the growing prestige of photographers and their trade.
