The second oldest photo amateur association in the Czech lands

9. February – Club der Amateur-Photographen was founded in Teplice, and was the second oldest photo amateur association in the Czech lands. Already in its first year the club held an exhibition of the works of its members, which was the first exhibition of a photo club in this country. Its first chairman was Karl Müller, professor of mathematics and physics at Teplice gymnasium. The club organized specialized lectures, excursions combined with photographing, and published a magazine, which had not been preserved.
