First experiments with X-rays in the Czech lands

10. and 11. January - Karel Domalíp, a ČVUT professor, conducted first experiments with X-rays in the Czech lands. He reported them in an essay Contributions to phenomena caused by Roentgen's invisible rays in the January Věstník Bohemian akademie (Bohemian Academy Bulletin), and presented them at a Bohemian Academy meeting on the 17. January 1896. The photographical part for Dr. Domalípa was executed by Kruis and assistants Brož and Mikulík. Domalípa's experiments were very significant since details of C. Roentgen's work were not yet known at the time of his experiments.
