Chronology of events in the history of photography in the Czech lands till 1918.

An Almanac of Czech photographers

J. S. Vítský compiled and published, at I. L. Kobra publishers in Prague, Kalendář českých fotografů pro rok 1902 (An Almanac of Czech photographers for 1902), which is also a review of events in Czech photography. This calendar demonstrates (and the almanac's publisher notes with displeasure), that Czech amateur photo clubs exist only in Prague and Pilsen, while German clubs already exist in Prague, Perning near Karlovy Vary, Jablonec nad Jizerou, Liberec, Teplice, Brno and Vítkovice. At that time, the membership of the German-speaking photo amateurs was on a significantly higher level than of the Czech speaking ones.
