Vojtěch Preissig (1873-1944), a graphic artist who used photography as a natural creative medium already from the 90s, when he started to use them as models, came back to Prague from Paris. Preissig's photographical studies of material textures and details of natural elements belong among the leading ones ever done, not only in the Czech lands, just like his interest in abstraction.
