Františkovy Lázně

Founded in 1793 by the Emperor Franz I, Františkovy Lázně had a reputation of a world-famous spa resort and reached the height of its popularity in the last years of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire.
Probably the first known photographer to obtain an extensive series of images of Františkovy Lázně was
František Fridrich. Part of the series entitled Franzesbad u. Umgebung is presented here.

The original images are part of Collection Scheufler. None of the photographs may be reproduced or used in any form or by any means, including downloading, without the prior permission of the owner and without citing the source.
