18. September – in Prague at Platýz house met the founding meeting of the supportive Czech Photographical Association, the first organization affiliating exclusively professional photographers in the Czech lands, and it is said to be the oldest in Europe. The first chairman became Josef Köppel, the protector was Jindřich Eckert.
