Photographs the Moon from the Frič brothers

December – Josef and Jan Frič, who in 1883 founded at Královské Vinohrady a workshop for fine mechanics that manufactured sugar refinery and geodesic instruments, started to photograph the Moon. With their pictures preserved to this day, made without the use of clockwork, brothers Frič belong among the pioneers of astronomical photography in the Czech lands. They received a gold medal at an international photography exhibition in Oporto in 1886.
